Placeey is the trust layer for overseas property investment, starting with East Africa. We check every title before a listing goes live so buyers abroad can browse with confidence.
Why we exist
Buying property from another continent is hard to do with confidence. Distance makes it difficult to tell a genuine listing from a misleading one. Placeey closes that gap by checking every title against the land registry and reviewing supporting documentation, and showing buyers exactly where that check stands on every listing. Trust is built into the marketplace, not left to chance.
Who we serve
We serve international buyers looking for title-checked property in East Africa, and sellers who want their listings to stand out as credible. Today we cover Uganda, with Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda coming soon.
How verification works
A listing goes live as soon as a seller submits it, marked Title-Check-Pending, while Placeey runs its title check process alongside. We confirm the title against the government land registry and review the seller’s identity documents.
- Submission A seller submits a listing with property details and supporting information. It goes live immediately, marked Title-Check-Pending.
- Review Our team runs the listing through title checks for consistency and completeness.
- Confirmation Once the checks clear, the listing is marked Title Checked for buyers.
